How do I get a library card?
t’s easy! Just bring us some identification like a driver’s license and we will do the rest. You can also use a piece of mail like a bill that was sent to you with your name and address on it.
Can I return books from another NIOGA library at the Barker Public Library?
Yes, you can. We are a member of the NIOGA Library System and you can return materials from other member NIOGA libraries to our library. We can assist in requesting materials for you from other NIOGA libraries at our circulation desk.
Do you have a computer that I can use?
Yes, in fact, we have two computer stations that are connected to the Internet and are free of charge to use.
Does the library have a printer or fax machine?
Yes, the library has both a black and white and a color printer that patrons can use for a small fee. We also have a fax that patrons can use for both in-coming and out-going faxes.
How many items can be taken out at a time and how long can I keep books and DVDs out?
Up to 20 items can be charged out from the library at any one time. Books in the regular circulation collection and the DVD's collection may be borrowed for a two-week period, with the option to renew for another two weeks unless the materials have been requested by another patron.
